We're in week six. Next week
we have our second exam. It will be like the last: a combo of
IMath, and something to do on Canvas.
Today is "lab day", combined and Zoomed once again, due to the
vacation day on Tuesday and the storm that (fingers crossed) didn't
quite materialize as badly as feared, it seems.
So this will be "live" at 1:40.
Today: Lab 6 (Applied Numerical integration, from
the Mathematica perspective).
(due Monday, 2/22)
While we can do some numerical integrations simply using only a few
points, or perhaps have only a few data points to base an integral off
of, frequently we will want to use 1000 subintervals -- and it gets a
little tedious entering all of those by hand!
So today we want to show how to do them a little more quickly. You'll
be using the "Sum" command to do your lab (because we're doing a lot of
big sums!).
